About

An interdisciplinary academic path connecting computing, environmental systems and geospatial science.

I am an IIT Bombay-trained geospatial scientist and Assistant Professor at TISS. My research and teaching develop at the intersection of remote sensing, Earth observation, GIScience, Decision Science and environmental systems.

Academic trajectory

From environmental observation to decision support.

My early professional work at CSIR–National Institute of Oceanography examined geomorphological and shoreline change using Remote Sensing and GIS. During doctoral research at IIT Bombay, I developed quantitative geospatial approaches for environmental planning in coastal urban regions.

At TISS, I have built an independent research, teaching and academic-leadership profile, applying geospatial methods to disaster risk, water resources, environmental systems and climate adaptation. This work combines spatial evidence with the decision contexts in which it is used.
